Pretty Front Doors

this past weekend when we were visiting my parents, we drove around a little to look at some houses along the water in cute little towns like st. michael's and oxford. i kept noticing all of these beautifully restored cottages with bright and pretty front doors. it's always a little awkward stopping in front of people's houses to snap pics - but clearly it doesn't stop me! - so some of these were taken as we slowly rolled by!

this house was still in the midst of renovation but the hot pink door was ready to go!

white and mint green and the railing was painted to match. you can just see the water toward the bottom left. it was literally in the backyard of all of these places!

pale yellow with light blue and dark green shutters. such a unique combo but it was fresh and happy!

another yellow one that really looked so much brighter in person. bummer. the owner of this house was literally outside in the yard playing with his dog as we creepily drove by so i had to snap quickly! he must be used to it though - this house was darling.

turquoise! also love the metal roof on the porch.

seeing all of these colors gave me hope - spring is coming!!
