not everything is bad. i like the paint color (pale straw, benjamin moore), i love the bedding (matouk), the shape of the headboard, and the table lamp (although i hate the shade). the side table, that we inherited from my parents, is sweet. so i wanted to do a mini makeover, not a full blown redo.
wellll the other day i saw this fabric from dwell studio and it instantly screamed "headboard" at me. fabrics can talk you know.

right away the room came together in my head. with the paint and bedding i'm sticking with the blue, yellow, and white color palette. so i put together a little board to see how my ideas looked all together.
- fabrics: all from fabrics.com
- blue trellis by dwell studio
- dandelion and chevron by premier prints (for $6.98/yard!!!). for some reason i have been dying to find a way to use this dandelion - i think it might end up on sham or two
- x benches: pottery barn, for much needed texture
- pillow cover: etsy
- painting: etsy (although i will end up painting something on my own)
- side table: if i could, i would use this one from bungalow 5 to add some clean modern lines
i was just telling a friend that when i start on a room, i think of a color palette in my head. it helps me figure out what color should be on the walls, what colors to look for in fabrics, and what accessories will work.

From the looks of your mood board it seems you just can't go wrong here...can't wait to see it!
I've seen the dandelion fabric in person and I love it. This room will look great!
