Friday Finds: Highland Hardware

it's been a hot second since i did a friday finds post and i thought it would be the perfect time to talk about etsy shop highland hardware! they reached out a little while back about working together and no joke i had bought a frame from them just two days before. obviously i was thrilled and got to work.

i've been wanting to give finn's room a mini refresh and make it more into a boy's room and less toddler-y. so i took out the bookcase (he has built in bookshelves already) and added new nightstands that match, lamps, and the last step was adding a piece of artwork above his bed. i knew i wanted a black and white surfer print and i wanted it to be square. i was about to frame it in a regular wood frame but had some last minute inspiration and remembered highland hardware's acrylic frames with brass bolts. it's the perfect option for the look i was trying to create!

the acrylic keeps everything light and bright and since it's bolted to the wall, i'm not worried about anything falling on his head in the middle of the night!!

side profile - it was really straightforward to install and mr. r and i did this in a very civil manner (which is not always the case when hanging things - especially lights 😬).

and side note - you might recognize this bench from my IG stories!! i'm so glad i scooped it up - it's going to be an amazing staging tool!

Friday Finds: Pepper B. Textiles

i got stuck down an instagram rat hole the other day and ended up finding this image designed by jacquelyn clark of lark and linen. that front set of pillows jumped out at me and luckily it was tagged in the photo (god bless instagram). such a pretty room, isn't it? that quilt too.

so that of course led me to pepper b. here is a close up of the pattern.

it also comes in a pretty light gray but this plum color is working for me!

PB Teen Favorites

Fashion Friday: Prep It Out

first up is sloan taylor who designs these gorgeous monogrammed wrap bracelets that really would go  perfectly with just about anything! they have a bunch of different colored straps and the metal comes in silver or gold.

second is sail to sable which is chock full of uber preppy dresses for women and girls.

Friday Finds: Farmhouse Pottery

another in the "have you heard of" category. i found farmhouse pottery through where else but instagram. their things are gorgeous and they sell a little bit of everything...

kinda makes me want to find an old farmhouse somewhere and fix it up and have cows and horses and like 4 dogs. dreamy :)  have a great week - almost ho ho ho time!!

oh hello. one day i'm going to find balance and blog more regularly! but this week was not that time. :( to make up for my complete and utter lack of blogging, i've gathered up a bunch of online shops (10!) that have been on my radar all in one mega post!! it's crazy how many there are out there - some  sites are new finds and others are old favorites. so here we go (in no particular order)!

1. open door shop - an ig find! awesome ceramic trays, bowls, and platters among lots of other things.

2. greige - gorgeous lighting, accessories, and pretty much anything for the home!

3. furbish studio - a go-to source

4. waiting on martha - another ig find with tons of cute home stuff and kid stuff!

5. design darling - a favorite for preppy accessories

6. zhush - great home decor and the best monogrammed pillows!

7. rodales - a little bit of everything with a natural/organic slant

8. shoppe by amber interiors - a bazillion pillows, rugs, and throws with that laid-back cali vibe

9. tuckernuck - the internet can take you down rat holes but also it can help you find really good sites - like this one - get your prep on!

10. mod boho - another ig find. boho pillows and recently art added too!

Friday Find: Zooguu

it's been a while since i've done a friday find but i've got one! when we were in boston last weekend we walked around a little open market with a bunch of different vendors. i always think of crappy jewelry and random wood working shops when i see these tents set up. but there was actually some really cute stuff - including zooguu. they make handmade (i guess that's redundant?) stuffed animals that are really simple and cute. you can customize them to be in lots of colors too!

i fell in love with the whale and the hedgehog.

they also take those stuffed animals and mount them to plaques to create fun faux taxidermy. so cute in a nursery, kids room, or playroom.

i've been on a major art kick lately and have made a bunch of changes and additions in my own home that i'll share with you soon! i came across emily rickard on one king's lane (clearly i'm such art affionado with okl as my source!) and fell in love with her bright modern colors. she also has an etsy shop. take a look!
