Favorite Etsy Pillow Shops

one of the questions i get most often is where do i find pretty pillows and etsy is always one of my answers. but searching for pillows on etsy can be a major time suck so since i'm on a round up roll, i thought i'd share my favorite etsy pillow shops. i'm sure i'm missing some so let me know your faves too!

motif pillows: huge selection of high end pillows with a nice range of price points.

boho pillow: unique vintage fabrics along with some great peter dunham options.

k line deco: some harder to find textiles such as lisa fine.

homegirl collection: yummy vintage goodness.

spark modern: awesome prints and this shop also has some pre-made pillow combos to help you if mixing patterns isn't your forte.

danielle oakley: unique finds that you won't find elsewhere.

pop o color: tons of fun colors, prints, and lines that you crave.

pillows by elissa: mudcloth galore!

INDIEbungalow: cool and funky. those tassel pillows are so good.

house of pillows: where i got my leather pillows that so many people have asked about!

lastly, i wanted to add one shop that i missed from the vintage rug shop round up post - maison eleven.

have a great weekend y'all!!

Leather Pillow Source

good news today and bad news. bad news first - i shattered the screen of my phone. i've dropped it plenty of times but for whatever reason, it happened to fall flat on it's back which splintered the front. hoping the insurance i have will cover it. otherwise happy early christmas to me.

now for the good news - i have finally found the etsy shop where i had my leather pillows in our family room made! elizabeth at house of pillows! she actually found me on instagram and i'm so glad she did.

the design i dreamt up was to have a seam vertically and horizontally but you can have them made as one seamless piece as well. these are the real deal though and elizabeth helped me source that perfect leather from a couple of images i sent. very glad this mystery has been solved! (if only my memory was in tact, it would never have been a mystery!!)

New Art Finds

how was the long weekend friends? we played tourist in boston which kind of ended in disaster with two whiny four year olds. annoying. but then mr. r took them to the driving range and putting green practice area (i'm sure there's an actual word for that) and things perked up. they loved it! then all the boys also went for their first bike ride into town to get ice cream which turned out to be an excellent incentive. they had so much fun and were so hyped up on sugar they even had enough energy to bike back. and there i was driving along and stopping in random places to cheer them on. crazy mom! if anyone had seen me driving around they would have seriously wondered what the hell i was doing. but i got some pics and they loved waving as they biked by so oh well! oh and lastly my uber picky eater, finn, who likes approximately five foods asked for and ATE shrimp last night. he even said he liked it. WHAT! and our adventurous eater, charlie, tried it and thought it was gross. my world has done a 180 people. but all in all a good weekend!

anywho i have a bunch of art laying around in various places in my house that was once hung in other various places that i've taken down or switched out for various reasons. lots of variousness. ;) i've been itching to somehow combine it all together to create a gallery wall. but the thing is lots of the pieces are similar sizes so i need to supplement what i've got with some other smaller things. this of course led to a night of staying up until almost 1am sourcing art. not normal. but on the plus side it gave me some sources to introduce today!

adding some original art to my gallery wall is key - it adds texture and depth and different mediums make the whole thing a lot more interesting. i first found donna walker through a pinterest search but quickly learned that she has an etsy shop and is represented through serena & lily for some of her larger pieces. not bad!

pamela munger is an artist with a variety of subjects like landscapes, still lifes, and abstracts. i just love that her art is pretty and original and affordable.

i put together a concept of the gallery wall to at least start me off on sizing and placement. this is going to change 100 times before it all goes up on the wall and i already see things that i would switch around but you get the overall concept. also these is not the final art selections in all cases! the wall where this is going is upstairs so i wanted to keep it light and fun. plus the budget for this project is small and i needed to find affordable art. (that weird publish sidebar is there because i took a screenshot from polyvore)

i had fun trying to connect the art we already own with new stuff so it all makes sense! more to come :)

Recent Etsy Finds

it's friday of back-to-school week and we made it! actually back-to-preschool really just isn't a big deal. it took my boys about 2 minutes to get back in the swing of it which i'm enjoying because next year things will definitely be different when they start kindergarten! but regardless i'm looking forward to a long weekend.

it's been a while since i've done an "etsy finds" kind of post so i've rounded up a few shops that you should go check out! first up is barombi studios. they have some great ceramics for the kitchen or to use as general decor.

pretty vases, planters, and mugs.

i bought this jewelry dish which i plan to use for shelf styling and not for holding my jewels. this is the kind of thing that makes the styling look special and unique - key to a good shelfie!

i found claudia chloe photo through instagram or maybe she found me but either way i was glad to discover her! she takes those cool aerial photos that are so popular with affordable price tags.

motif pillows is not a new find but the owner, priscilla, has added some amazing pillows lately including raoul, rebecca atwood and zak + fox.

have a great labor day weekend!!
