Client Project: Dining Room Revamp

whoops! kinda forgot to post at all last week!! actually, i didn't forget but all of my energy and time was taken up by a certain new puppy who is lucky he's cute ;) seriously between that and all of the snow, i was wiped at the end of every day. but back this week with some good stuff!

i have a new client project going right now which is very exciting! a friend of mine wanted to create a new look for her dining room and kitchen. sign me up! we met and talked through everything she wants to change and what the overall style will be and here's what i came up with!

the dining room has already been painted a pale blue/gray and is actually the same custom color that i used in my kitchen/family room. we're going for something that is traditional but with some modern elements (the art, the chairs) and that's not too formal but also not super casual. it's a small room so i want to make it as light and airy as possible. i'm really in love with both looks!

the kitchen will be fairly straightforward but will be a dramatic change in the end. she is painting all of the cabinets out white (they're an off white with a sort of brown wash which makes them look dirty). the walls will be the same blue/gray that's currently in the dining room. there is one window where we will hang roman shades to break up all of the hard surfaces.

so what do you think? which is your fav?
