is mud room one word or two? anyway, for some reason i've always been enamored with beautiful mudrooms. hmm oxymoron? but they can be so pretty!
i'll start with my own mudroom - plenty of room for improvement here!
this one is from one of the blogs i read, living livelier, how can you not love that imperial trellis goodness?
one could argue that this is actually a front entry but in a house this nice, i see it as the mudroom. that flooring, swoon:
the next two are from sarah richardson's farm house and i'm in love with the red doors and the painted paneling.
this room had me at the (faux i hope) antler chandelier:
this isn't really my style but it's fun to look at. and the day i have an octagonal mudroom, whew:
this small space is packed with great storage and great design:

crystal chandelier and amazing built-ins? yes please.

finally, my most favorite of the bunch. this has an equestrian feel about it (what with the helmets and riding boots on the shelves!) and growing up riding, this style has a special place in my heart. plus a dutch door? melt.
does this inspire you to do more with your mudroom? it can be the forgotten part of the home but go for some wallpaper, fabrics, and lighting to tie it in with the rest of the house. hope you had a great weekend!
