Baby Rug

actually the title of this post is exactly the opposite of what i mean. i wanted an area rug to define the space between the two cribs as a little play area and give a some interest to the plain boring taupe carpeting that's in the room. when i thought about what kind of rug to use, i specifically wanted something that would grow with the kids or could be used in another room if needed. something non-kiddie.

i ended up choosing this star rug from stark. but now i will sound like a hypocrite when i tell you that i found it at pb kids! to me, the stars are cute but not too cute and i could easily see this rug in an office or family room. in fact my parents have something very similar in their tv room (they hate it when i call it that :).

it would also look amazing as a runner on a staircase! kinda like this (drool, i want a landing with a window seat!):
