Having A Brass Moment

i'm definitely more of a silver/nickel/chrome girl than a gold/brass/bronze one. i saw this bar cart in the williams sonoma catalog (of all places) and immediately looked to see if it came in polished nickel (which it does). but then i stopped myself and realized that i had fallen in love with the brushed brass finish.

i think it's the holiday/winter time that does it to me...and also those awesome leather handles. i love the warmth with the rich brown leather chair with brass nail heads. and plaid - lots of tartan - and a wool flannel upholstered sofa in a heathered gray. very masculine but very yum. like this:
