took the plunge and tried out this piece for our tv. and i'm a little surprised to report that i love it!! the color in person is much richer. the website calls this distressed red (they're trying to imitate this cabinet from pottery barn) but it's not red at all. it's extremely heavy/sturdy and came well packaged without a single scratch. i read the reviews carefully before buying and they were all accurate.

highly recommend trying this out if you're looking for a casual piece of furniture for your family room. oh and it's pretty big - 65" long.

it looks a little red in that picture but it's not. i need to take a photography class stat. now what to do on the big wall behind the tv? it's so heinous. i'm thinking of black gallery frames with black & white photos. other ideas?
