Cut It Out

i've posted about the frames from cut it out before (see here) but now i have a place to use them! remember my sad ikea post about the odby frame? well they still aren't in stock and if i want to do this project sometime this year, then i need to move on from the odby. i'm planning to do this during my time off in june (this is what i mean about it being impossible to do nothing!).

here is our hall looking from the playroom down to the master bedroom. the runners are each 12' long for some scale perspective.

so here are the frames i'm contemplating for the upstairs hall. they're pretty much a 180 from the odby in terms of the simplicity or lack there of! should i do all of the same style? mix it up?
